With the main development with 0.3 coming to an end, there’s already proposals being considered for 0.4. For more up-to-date information, go to…

Currently, APL is open for suggestions for projects in 0.4. Everyone is welcomed to comment here on WP, or can also go to GitHub Issues (Wiki – Submit a Bug/Idea) to Open a Ticket and/or Comment on already existing issues.

The following are some of the main questions to the community…

    1. Where, in the Admin Sidebar Menu, should the APL Menu be placed?
    1. In between Post Types (Posts/Pages) & Appearance?
    2. At the bottom section?
    3. Keep in an existing WP Admin Menu?
    4. Etc.
    • How should the sub-menu, or admin pages, be structured?
    • How do you like the idea of saving preset Designs and/or Filters separately to use with additional preset post lists?
    • What are some ideas and/or missing Internal Shortcodes (used in the List Content)?
    • Are the Filter Settings lacking any essential settings?
    1. Date & Time
    2. Additional Dynamic Settings (Include Authors)

If any of those questions spark an idea or a project caught your eye, feel free to comment here. Alternately, as APL receives and refines ideas, GitHub’s Wiki will also receive improvements for better documentation support.

  • Great plugin! Really appreciate your work.

Something I’d love to see for the next version is an option to sort the posts by custom field / meta value. If there already is a workaround, nevermind, but all I found was a feature request from a couple of years back.

    Cheers

+1 – And I’d be very happy to learn about a workaround for the meantime!

    Answers to your questions:
    1. I like the Settings sub-menu.
    2. Keep it simple! I don’t see why it shouldn’t remain all in one page.
    3. Currently I don’t need this functionality.
    4. It would be great to be able to access WP’s new secondary category feature. For example, I’d like to create a category list with subsections for secondary categories.
    5. Order by meta value

    Thanks for continuing the development!

I could possibly add Meta Variables to sort by, and I believe I held off on the feature since it would require additional implementation, but i could add this to the To-Do list in 0.4.
