  • Hi Li-An.

    copying it whithout any modification, the CSS is a little broken – the button is showing default CSS

    What does “a little broken” mean? Which button is showing default CSS? Can you post a link to your site? Thanks.

    Hello, sorry for non be enough precise.
    I uploaded the comments.php file in the child theme here https://frama.link/BpPsMbgP
    and you can see that “Leave a comment” button (“Laisser un commentaire”) is a basic button.

    It looks like your CSS is missing an entire section for the class “themeform”. Just copying comments.php to your child theme, and not making any other changes, shouldn’t affect how the comments form is displayed. What happens if you select Customize > Global settings > Performance and SEO, and then disable the “Use a minified stylesheet” option?

    I desactivated “Use a minified stylesheet” option without any visible change.
    I just changed call to parent theme from style.css to functions.php but no différence either.

    Your comment form is missing the main container element:

    <section id="comments" class="themeform">

    That’s why the theme CSS isn’t being applied. What happens if you rename or delete the comments.php file in your child theme?

    OK, solved. I was using an old version of comments.php. Thanks for your help and sorry for that.

    You’re welcome; glad you got it fixed.
