My comments section at the bottom of posts shows under Preview of the post (it has been published as test blog)but when I bring the site up in another browser, even another Firefox browser, comments option is not there.
Today I noticed a file I hadn't noticed before under the child theme and don't remember making (but i am newbie so could have at some point)
content.php.txt It is possible I was directed to put this in and just didn't notice the .txt so i tried renaming it to content.php but it has no effect on site.
Combing through the forums I have checked the following:
1. Settings/Discussion Settings
Default - all boxes ticked
Other comment settings - Ticked:
Comment author must fill out name and e-mail
Enable threaded (nested) comments 5 levels deep
NOTE: Had remove after 14 days ticked but unticked based on forums input.
2. Comments allowed under JetPack
Subscriptions: Follow comments and blog options ticked
Contact Form 7
Enhanced Admin Bar with Codex Search
Jetpack by WordPress.com
Really Simple CAPTCHA
W3 Total Cache
It has appeared intermittently, but I have been bouncing between post preview and live site checking so now that I know they render the site differently, I'm clueless.
