What did you add to your page template?
<?php the_time(‘F jS, Y’) ?>
- Posted by <?php the_author(); ?>
<?php $wp_query->is_single = false; ?>
- <?php comments_popup_link(‘No comments’, ‘1 comment’, ‘% comments’,’Comments closed’); ?>
- ” title=”<?php the_title(); ?>”>#
<?php edit_post_link(__(‘Edit’), ‘
- ‘, ‘
‘); ?>
I took this piece directly from the index to see if that’d work. No dice.
Delete the code you added and try:
<?php if( have_comments() || 'open' == $post->comment_status ) comments_template();?>
Maybe I’m putting it in the wrong spot, but it seems to be broken in half. It’s functional, but the comments are located under the sidebar whereas the comment field is under the post, where it should be.
You don’t really need the comment_popup_link on a single page. You could just remove it. Or you’ll need to place the line I gave into your side area.

Comments are in the form of a popup (which I think is why I’m having an issue). Comments are working fine on posts, but my theme was not written to allow commenting on pages. I’ve tried to stick them in but the link to the popup doesn’t seem to be working. It keeps leading to the 404 page. Anyone have any suggestions? I’m sure it’s something small I’m missing!
