Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
I did the first two. I’d never heard of the third one but I just did that and the comments still aren’t showing unfortunately.
Have you tried repairing your database?
That one did it. Whew! Before that I went in and emptied one of my databases that I really didn’t need all the information from and it didn’t work. But repairing the comments database did it. Thanks!

At some point on the 4th comments people were leaving me stopped showing up on one of my blogs. I just discovered today that if I tried to write a comment they’re disappearing as well. I’ve tried disabling all plugins and that didn’t fix anything. I tried reloading 3.2.1 an that didn’t correct the issue either.
I’m receiving email whenever there’s a comment, though nothing’s showing; this is what I get:
New comment on your post “XXXXXXXXXXXXX”
Author : (IP: , )
E-mail :
URL :
Whois : http://whois.arin.net/rest/ip/
Comment:
The Whois link points to something telling me I have a 405 error, The specified HTTP method is not allowed for the requested resource ().
I’ve changed only two things. One, I updated the All in One SEO plugin yesterday, but did it on all 5 of my blogs and it’s working elsewhere. Two, I had been getting a 404 error and found in the forum where someone said to uncheck the box under Discussion that says “Break comments into XX pages with top level comments per page and the page displayed by default”. That’s when it started going to the 405 instead.
Finally, I’ve compared the theme’s index.php, comments.php and single.php files to the original that I have on my computer; no changes.
So, I need some other ideas; can anyone help?
