# Comments not Rendering in Custom Template

 * I’m building a WordPress theme from the ground up and am having issues getting
   my comments to render within the single posts. I’m calling <?php wp_list_comments();?
   > from within single.php, but it displays absolutely nothing. When I switch my
   site back to the default WordPress theme, comments render just fine.
 * Any ideas on where the problem might be originating from?
