Comments not on articles even with correct options

    Hi All,

    I want Comments to be available for my posts, but it ain’t happenin’, even with the following options:

    Checked: Allow people to post comments on new articles
    Unchecked: Users must be registered and logged in to comment

    I am using the free version of the Traction theme and have looked at both single.php and page.php and they both have
    <?php comments_template( '', true); ?>

    Help…What am I doing wrong?
    TIA,
    Reggie

    Perhaps your theme doesn’t support commenting? Have you tried switching to the Twenty Ten theme to confirm that it is a theme-specific problem?

    Thanks for replying, esmi.

    Hmmm…I did switch to 2010, and got the link at the end of the tags, but not the form as I prefer.

    Interesting. The Traction theme page does not say that anything that would indicate that those types of comments are not supported.

    I hate it when my mileage varies. 🙂

    Have you checked the theme’s comments.php file? Perhaps the issue is in there?
