Comments not displaying on single idea page

On single idea pages, I see the comment form. But, no published comments display on the page.

I quickly took a look at the code for the single page, and there’s some conditional logic around it displaying based on a setting to turn comments on or off.

The problem is, mine doesn’t have that setting. Can you please take a look and help me solve this or patch the plugin?
