# Comments no longer working

 * The other day, my comments stopped working — going to an index page does not 
   show the comments. They work fine if I change to the WordPress Classic theme,
   but not Default or the modified theme I was using (based on [Orange Sky](http://www.alexking.org/software/wordpress/themes/blog/index.php?wptheme=OrangeSky)).
   One of my plugins — weighted-words — also recently stopped working, though I 
   have not changed anything. The only change I have recently made is to rename 
   that plugin.

 * Still doesn’t work. I believe it says there’s an extra *. But my bigger concern
   is the comments.

 * You said “going to an index page does not show the comments”. Do they appear 
   if you display an individual post. If so, it is the comment count that is the
   issue. If you are upgraded to WP 2.0, empty the WordPress cache. If you are using
   Spam Karma, I suggest you upgrade to version 2.1.

 * No, they do not appear on an individual page, though the main page shows the 
   right number, depending on which theme I use. I am still using 1.5.1.3 — but 
   this suddenly changed without my making any changes.

 * What happens if you take the advice of podz and rename the plugin?

 * Well, the page is fine, but if I try to activate it, the same problem occurs.
   Then I need to re-rename it, etc. I will probably just delete the plugin.
 * I did upgrade to 2.0. My old theme *still* does not work, though it did a few
   days ago.

 * I am not using spam karma, either.
