I just noticed that comments are no longer displayed on one of my sites, although pingbacks still appear, and the accurate total number of comments (i.e., comments + pingbacks) is indicated.
In the backend, I can see all the comments just fine.
On the chance it was the Magazine Basic theme (latest version, 3.0.8) not playing nicely with the latest WordPress version, I did a preview with the Twenty Twenty theme, and the problem persists. I then did a preview with the Twenty Eleven theme, and the problem persists. However, I checked one of my sites that has been running Twenty Eleven for a long time and it *does* display comments. So maybe there’s an issue between WP and theme(s) after all?
Thoughts?
