  • when someone clicks on a comment link for one of my posts, the new page opens at the top of the page, instead of at the point where the comments start. I assume I need to change some of the code in the index.php file, but I don’t know what to tell it to point to for the page to open how I want it to. Is there a better hack or plugin for handling comments?

By default, it should start at the top of the comments section.
    Have you changed anything ?

I’ve changed plenty in the index.php file, but nothing related to the comments, except to include an “email this post” type hack from the wiki. I included it inside the div tag for the comments link as well so the css attributes were identical. Could that be the problem?

Link would be helpful, but in all likelihood you have removed the “id=comments” from the start of the comments section.
