My comments stopped working in the last day. Error message reads:

“WordPress database error: [Can’t open file: ‘wp_juliansnamecomments.MYI’. (errno: 130)]”

This error appears in the admin interface and in *any* area of the blog where you would normally see comments. It also comes up when you try to leave a comment. In the admin section you cannot view the comments section at all.

I have not changed my blog or DB structure in any way recently, all I’ve done is added new posts. I tried upgrading from WP 2.1.2 to 2.1.3 to fix this but this didn’t have any effect.

view this error live on http://blog.julians.name (look at any story with comments like this one: http://www.blog.julians.name/2007/02/23/finishing-what-i-started/ )

I have several other WP blogs running on this DB under separate DB prefixes/tables and NONE of them have are having this problem. example: http://www.exceler8ion.com/2007/03/28/microsofts-latest-transparency-in-social-media-optimization/

Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

    Julian

Anytime you see “errno: x” where x is some number, you can safely determine that that is a MySQL error.

You may want to contact your host (if you have phpMyAdmin and are feeling frisky, you could attempt a repair).

Thanks HandySolo, I feared I was in for a hosing. 🙂
