I upgraded to WordPress 3.5 last night (using the auto-upgrader in the wp dashboard) and awoke this morning to find that all of the comments on my site are gone. Zero in the dashboard, and apparently, zero in the database.
Having looked at a few other related support threads, I very awkwardly peeked into my site’s database and looked at the wp_comments table– which had one row from a comment received this morning. Everything else over several years was gone. But my content, from text to images to categories, all seem to be in place.
Any advice on how I can repair this? Or if I can repair this?
Please note that I know very little about databases!
