# Comments Function not working

 * Hi, I’ve just installed WP, and everything in terms of layout and posting entries
   seem to be working fine, but when I click on “Comments” or “Post a comment”, 
   it tells me that the page is not found. When I click to read the entry on its
   own (by clicking the entry title), it also tells me that the page is not found.
 * What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

 * Mine isn’t working either (I may need to add the www and/or full url, but how?).
   This is what’s in the browser address line: “[http://marthamcginnis.com/blog/2006/05/23/is-your-meeting-sticky/#respond&#8221](http://marthamcginnis.com/blog/2006/05/23/is-your-meeting-sticky/#respond&#8221);
   
   and this is the error message: >>>> Not Found The requested URL /blog/2006/05/
   23/is-your-meeting-sticky/ was not found on this server.
 * Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument
   to handle the request.

 * I fixed my problem (see my post titled Not Found Errors on Everything). Here’s
   how I did it:
 * FOUND it, FIXED it….knew it was very basic. Somehow my .htaccess file was deleted.
   Re-installed it and reset permissions, then set permalinks…which someone mentioned
   in one of these posts, and finally got the update function to work (be writable).
   That fixed everything. Many thanks to The Everyman’s WPInstall guide, which gave
   me a clear, sequenced, explanation to how this works…before, I was just fishing
   around. The Guide is under: Installing WordPress/Common Installation Problems,
