I changed a theme for my sister’s blog and I noticed all the Comments for her ‘Guestbook’ page have vanished. This was one of the Pages for the blog itself, not an individual article:

    http://kimedwardsonline.com/?page_id=13

In fact, all the comments for the blog articles are intact. Only the Guestbook Page has its comments missing. And I noticed that if I switch to any other themes, the comments remain missing; but when I go back to her original theme, the comments return.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Not all themes are the same. This new theme might not have a dedicated page for comments, so you need to create that page. Here is some information on how to create that page:

I suggest you look in your “good” theme and find the page template with the comments. Then use some of the code in that template in your new page for your new theme.

Actually, we did create this page, as it did not exist in the prior template, either. We just added another ‘Page’ as normal and her comments have been recorded there. Now they are gone.

I’ll try and find that code, but I don’t know if I can locate the comments in the db.

Most themes don’t call for the comments template in the Page template.
See how it is done in the old theme (and/or in the single.php of the theme) and copy over the code into your Page template.
