• I’ve searched the forums, haven’t found a solution for this problem. I am using Boredome theme for my blog, at http://dirty.floppy.at . Installed it, changed the header graphics, and that’s it. Started posting, then someone tells me that the comment option redirects to another unknown site. I’ve tried it, it doesn’t redirect me but the comment form does not show up. Not for me, not for anyone. I tried changing permalinks, still nothing. I looked into comments.php, but there’s too much code there, heh. Comments are enabled for everyone, no comment moderation, etc. Should work !

    Please help 🙂

  • One of the theme’s files corrupt? Make sure comments.php doesn’t have any spaces at beginning or end of file?

    dont think its corrupt, i’ve tried another comments.php from a theme by the same author, same crap.

    here’s the comments.php i have : http://dirty.floppy.at/stuff/comments.zip

    thanks for replying, appreciated !!

    Not seeing anything unusual in that file… To help isolate, can you change themes and test comments there?

    the comments link are there when you are looking at categories.. but missing in single page view.

    Inside single.php * and any other file you have edited *, make sure you have not removed:

    <?php comments_template(); ?>

    removal of that line will cause what you are seeing.
    If you end up having to put back that line I strongly reccomend taking a look at the original single.php so that you do not cause validation errors, as it exists within 3 div tags and some php code — In other words, you can break more than you can fix.

    Best case, is just to re-upload single.php. Ive checked the original theme, and it (that line) does exist so youve obviously accidentally removed it.

    It was the single.php file. Must’ve deleted that line by accident somehow. Also I had no idea that file was connected to this matter.

    Many many many thanks, I’ll stick your blogs in my blogroll as thanks, that’s all I can do 🙂

    Youre welcome..
