Comments don't appear on pages

    When my site was hosted on WordPress.com, I had comments enabled on pages.

    When I moved to a self-hosted site, the comments on the pages disappeared. (The comments on posts remain unchanged.)

    I would like to reactivate comments on the pages (for instance: http://www.barrettrossie.com/portfolio/piedmont-airlines/ )

    I have had this problem for close to two years now, but am just getting around to addressing it.

    It’s very strange that comments don’t appear on pages. I just downloaded the theme and they are there. Have you made changes to the theme?

    If not, then perhaps the easiest thing to do would be to download a fresh copy of the theme and replace it. Otherwise, maybe you indadvertedly turn comments off on the pages? An easy way to know is by hovering over the title of a page and clicking Quick edit, make sure that the Allow comments box is checked.

    Christine, on the Pages index, on the page in question, the Allow Comments box is checked as it should be, but the comments don’t show.

    I’ll be moving to a new theme soon, so I’ll see what happens. Thanks!

    If the box is checked and allows comments, then changes must have been made to the theme. Once you’ve changed theme, you should be able to resolve this.
