# Comments Closed on Pages

 * I encountered a strangeness when playing around with the pages in 1.5 – I can’t
   get comments to work – no matter what the settings are in my admin panel, they
   show up as closed on the page itself.
 * For example: [http://www.bleuunicorn.net/graphics/award-winners/](http://www.bleuunicorn.net/graphics/award-winners/)

   If possible…could that link be removed if/when this gets resolved…?)

 * This happens for me too, or rather something similar.
 * When creating a page for the first time, if I change the default comments/pings
   settings, those changes are not saved. However, if I go back and edit the page
   and again set the settings the way I want them, they are saved this second time.
 * I believe this issue is the same as that addressed in this [bug report](http://mosquito.wordpress.org/view.php?id=792)

 * No, my settings are saved when I post – just no matter what the settings are,
   the comment form won’t appear on the page.

    Can we remove that link up there by chance, since, uh, it’s not my site(
   though this problem still exists as far as I know). 😉
