# comments blocking

 * I never get many comments on my blog. But today i was going through my approval
   list whoa more then 1000 comments where in there.. mostly about poker games and
   such kind of spam but also from people who did comment on my post.
 * Now i wonder is there a blocking plugin which blocks all things you clicked once
   to block(so you dont get them in the approval list either) and let all the others
   go through i dont find it handy to go through all the apptoval to find comments
   of people who took time to comment on my blog (no spam)

 * First, you could do with upgrading to 1.5.2 as there is a wee problem with all
   lesser versions.
 * To answer your question:

 * You are at 1.5.1
    You missed 1.5.1.2 We are at 1.5.2 To upgrade you only need
   to change files that are outside /wp-content You do not touch your theme files
   at all.
 * There are scripts around which the terminally stupid could run on your site and
   severely damage it.

 * so nothing will change on my themes or something? I know i had some problems 
   with the last upgrade but maybe i should try it anyway if it has a better spam
   protection and such
