here’s what I just found. it worked for me. should work for you too since your page is new and you might not have tons of pages yet.
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-remove-leave-a-reply-section-on-twentyfourteen-theme
actually i just found an easier way.
go to your pages
check the box next to all the pages that you don’t want comments on
change bulk actions to edit
change the comments to don’t allow
this will make the change in bulk 🙂
Thank you for that info 🙂
Actually sorry I could have explained a little better now that I read what I wrote…
I still do want to have the comments section for each post, but I just want to have it at the bottom of the post instead of the tiny “leave a comment” link between the title and body of each post.
did you ever get an answer? looking to do the same thing! TIA!
Not yet unfortunately. I think this one got marked as resolved, but I still don’t have an answer. It is really weird because if you click on an actual post the comment box shows up at the bottom just fine. It is just on the actual home page where the posts run consecutively that it blocks that out for some reason. I think it would really encourage more people to comment if there was a way to toggle that on or off.

My site is really new and not really any comments yet except one or two, but for the future I was wondering how to get the comments section at the bottom of each post (not page).
The site is http://www.rockhoundingutah.com/
The home page is set up like a blog (this is where I’m seeing the issue), but there are other pages to the site where the comments show up just fine at the bottom of the page.
I’m hoping for a really simple plugin suggestion or something since neither the standard comments nor the Jetpack comments configurations seem to have the ability.
