Comments are all deleted, but still shows as thousands.

    I deleted 198,052 comments using a plugin that’s well-rated.
    The comments are certainly gone from the database.
    (They were all spam, and none had ever been approved.)

    However, when I go to review comments the number 198,052 still shows up, even though there are no comment to be reviewed.

    Surely there is a quick fix for this.

    I’d be grateful for suggestions.

    Have you tried clearing your cache?

    Thanks for your suggestion! That would be the easiest answer.
    When I log in on a browser on my phone or another computer, the number still pops up.
    I suspect it’s not a caching thing.

    Looking forward to other suggestions, though!

    I’d suggest posting in that specific plugin’s forum, since the developer may have a solution or troubleshooting suggestions for you. Head to the plugin’s page on WordPress.org and click the “View support forum” link to post.
