First off, I absolutely love this plugin. Very well done. It's so beautiful to implement and it's light on the site.

I have an interesting issue that has come up through simple usage. I use dlvr.it and other feed pushers to send me content to twitter and facebook. Each link has it's own url for tracking purposes.

    ie - http://www.xavierpop.com/2013/02/08/new-poster-for-jackie-robinson-biopic-42-speaks-to-the-greatness-of-jackie-robison/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

If I look at the original page without the tag on the end :

The facebook comments that have been posted on the link with the tracking stuff (above) at the end aren't being ported over to the main article.

Any advice on how rectify this?

    thanks kindly.

    Hi zedsq,

    Thank you for the feedback!

I agree this is a problem, so this has been fixed in the new version 1.1.

Now the plugin will use the wordpress permalink to tie back into facebook, rather than the page url. This change should generally be backwards compatible with all existing comments.

So in your case, all the comments will be linked to the permalink url, regardless of query params:

you're plugin is absolutely brilliant. you've done a fantastic job.
(and I have tested them all :) )

I look forward to the update when it comes through and will report back when it's installed and stuff.

    installed it.

just to clarify, should the previous comments in limbo be porter over?

Unfortunately, there is not an easy way to port comments made on the alternate URL's. This is stored on Facebook's servers, and I'm not able to make modifications to that data.

What is possible is on the local website, the "permalink" setting of the post can be changed to match the original URL with comments. This will only grab one block of comments though; it would not merge comments made across several pages.

This should be fixed for all new comments going forward though.

    it's no thing at all.
moving forward is what counts for me at this point.

I just wasn't sure is all.

    Great job again.
