Hey, I fooled around a bit with both plugins and found that I needed to click the checkbox that said “Allow Jetpack comments module to activate.” After doing that, I viewed the all-time-favorite “Hello, world!” default blog post, and I could see comments enabled as well as CommentLuv.
I’ve yet to test if it works, but it’s farther than I was 10 min. ago.

According to this forum thread 3 months ago, http://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp34-are-commentluv-and-jetpack-wordpress-comment-now-compatible, CommentLuv is not supposed to work with Jetpack.
Yet I currently have the latest version of both plugins installed on the most current version of WordPress on my site http://geekmylife.net (if you need to see it working, try http://geekmylife.net/come-clean). CommentLuv shows up with Jetpack comments at the end of blog posts, and the Jetpack comment options show under “Discussion.”
However, on my new site, http://livegeekandprosper.com, I installed the Jetpack and CommentLuv plugins, and they aren’t getting along. I can’t see the Jetpack comments options under “Discussion” when CommentLuv is enabled, only disabled. I’m assuming this means that if I wrote a blog post, the Jetpack comments won’t work or CommentLuv won’t work. I’m running version 3.8.1 of WordPress on this site, as well.
Any help/clarification would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
