# Commenter having issues

 * I’m terribly sorry to bother, but I’ve been getting e-mails from visitors who
   are unable to leave comments.

 * The thing is some comments are coming in fine. I’m not sure where the issue is,
   but one commenter said she’s getting this: 401 or 402, with a” no entry/ you 
   have no right to access/use this blog. message.
 * I’d appreciate any help you could give.

 * I checked and don’t have any blocked ip addresses. At least it’s not showing 
   any.
 * Another commenter e-mailed me today and said it told her she’s restricted.
 * It’s odd, because some people are allowed to comment and others are not.
 * I’d appreciate any further thoughts you may have on this.

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
