[Resolved] Commentators: can I be sure their e-mail is valid?

I have my WP install set up to have users registered and logged in to comment.

On my vBulletin installations, e-mail addresses have to validated: does WordPress do this or is there some way to set this up?

  • Long Answer:

If you notice when you look at your blog registration page, there are 2 user entries, login name and e-mail.

WP sends off a randomly generated password to the e-mail used at the time of registration. Without that password, one cannot login to your WP blog.

    Short answer:

    yes, they are validated.
