I am having a problem in the comments section of my blog. Currently, visitors can comment on my posts, but I am unhappy with the usernames that are listed. It appears that instead of listing the commenter as a person (Joe Smith) it creates a random link to some general site. Now it is possible that the commenters are creating these links, but it is happening on every single comment, including the legitimate comments.
Under Settings –> Discussion –> Other comment settings I have checked “comment author must fill out name and e-mail.” I have not checked “users must be registered and logged in to comment.” Is this the problem or is something else going on that I need to change? It is, needless to say, annoying as the links created differ each time and I have no way of identifying regular commenters.
