# Comment system bug?

 * I had to fight a lot of spam and malicious trackbacks and pings. I deactivated
   trackbacks and pings and installed akismet and modded my .htaccess. It stopped
   the spam efficiently.
 * So whats the problem? The gui tells me there are 19 comments which need moderation
   and 130 comments in the spam folder. It is not possible to delete the comments
   and to delete the spam. I also cant find the comments, trackbacks and pings on
   the article. They are coded beyond my admin access, or the spam destroyed my 
   wordpress installation.
