# Comment OVERLOAD!

 * I have 2,443 comments, all awaiting moderation, and all are “cool site!” spam.
   My browser is freezing up just loading the page. I have been postponing putting
   on a wordpress spam blocker (suggested ones?) and now I can’t even moderate my
   comments.
 * How can I purge the comments database?

 * I am able to get into my database, but I am not fluent enough with sql to know
   what to do to delete them, though i know the following will select all the rows
   of spam
 * select * from ‘wp_comments’
    WHERE ‘comment_ID’ > 30
 * what command will delete them?
