# Comment notifications are delayed

 * Hi there, I’ve had Comment Notifier installed on my website and running perfectly
   fine for the past 2 years. Everything was functioning OK til about two weeks 
   ago.
 * Notifications of comments usually get emailed to my nominated email address instantly
   but now they’re delayed anywhere between 2-15 hours. None of my settings have
   changed and I haven’t added any new plugins which could be affecting performance.
 * I’m using Headway Theme, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

 * Hi, the plungin has not code to “delay” the email, so it’s surely your provider
   that delays them, probably it has the mail server overloaded. Open a ticket to
   the support guys of your provider and ask a check of the mail server.

 * I’ll double check that although the mails are usually forwarded to my yahoo business
   email account and has nothing to do with the email address provided by my provider.

 * Hi, I have not understood what has been checked, can you explain me better? What
   happens with your business email address? Do you forward a copy of all comment
   notifier email to that address?

 * Hi Stefano, sorry I should have clarified it further. Yes all my comment notification
   emails are being forwarded to my business email address which is through yahoo–
   not my HostGator email address.
 * That said, I was going through all my settings again yesterday and noticed my‘
   new post notifications’ through Subscribe2 plugin are also delayed. I will definitely
   contact my provider and check with them now that I know the problem is occurring
   with more plugin notifications not just Comment Notifier.
