Thanks for your report, Mark.
Unfortunately at the moment this is expected behaviour. We need to integrate custom click handling for the iframe for security purposes. See issue #28 on GitHub for reference.
You can expect this feature/bug to be fixed in the next 1-2 weeks.
FYI: This has now been fixed!
Just update the plugin to the latest version and it’ll just work.
Looks to be working within my own site OK. Any other sites where it’s installed, so I can check an oEmbed from another site, please? (The plugin is active right now at my site http://permanenttourist.ch.
Sure!
I use it on some of my personal sites:
Pancho Perez also set up two test sites, as you can see in this thread.
I’m also working on integrating the plugin on WP Talents, which would be a very customized version. The site’s been using a very early version of the plugin so far.
Tests look to embed posts from these sites just fine. It might be nice to pull in a featured image, though, if there’s one available.
Featured image should now be displayed when using the latest version (0.4.0-20150903 or newer) on the embedded site. Just need to update my own sites to reflect that 🙂
Yep, looking good. Next up: should the icon next to the website name remain as the WordPress one, or pull the favicon from the linked website?
It pulls the site icon if available, which you can configure in the customizer since WordPress 4.3.

Comment icon does not allow commenting. Nothing happens when I click on the icon.
