Support » Theme: zeeDynamic » Comment Box on ZeeDynamic Thing Randomly Switched to Full-Width This Morning

  • Hello,

    My blog,, is using the zeedynamic theme. Today when I logged on, I noticed that all of the comment boxes for posts had randomly changed to full-width. I haven’t done anything to change this. It’s causing the side bar to appear all the way at the bottom of the screen. How do I fix this considering that nothing was changed in the first place to have caused it?

  • I’m honestly not sure what’s going on at all. I can go into the stylesheet and change the width of the comment box, but the sidebar is still remaining at the bottom of the screen, even though it should be up at the top like it is on the home page.

    It’s very frustrating that the theme would change randomly despite me not touching anything.

    Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the theme’s folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    I’m looking at the blog more closely now. It’s only doing it to the post that went up today? Should I still re-upload a fresh copy? I’m not super techy. I just don’t get why the post today would be treated differently than all the others when they are using the same template (and nothing was done differently).

    What happens if you set that post back to draft status?

    I made it a draft again. Even just in preview mode as a draft though the comment box is still spanning the whole page and causing the sidebar to appear at the bottom.

    Forget that posts for now. What about the rest of the posts?. Are they OK?

    I even turned off the comment box for that post just to see if it would do anything. The comment box disappears, but the sidebar is still at the bottom.

    The rest of the posts appear normal.

    Then the problem is within the content of that post. Have you been copying in content from elsewhere?

    I didn’t actually write this post. A contributor did. But I just checked and they inserted this goodreads poll.

    <center><div id="gr_poll_widget_60770">
    <div style='width:300px'>
    <div style='font-size:1.3em'>
    How did you find out about the last book you read?

    If I remove the poll, everything goes back to the way it should look like. Any idea why the poll would change the template of that post? I’m just curious. This has never happened before. I’m wondering if there’s a way to keep the poll, without it doing that.

    Have you tried looking for a plugin that will allow you to add these polls safely?

    Nope I have not, and it only allows you the option of that widget on goodreads. I’ll look though. Thanks for the help either way! At least I now know what the problem is.
