Support » Fixing WordPress » Comment Box Area

  • For the time being, I am only using static pages on my website. I have disabled all comment boxes, discussions, etc.. However, I am still getting white space across the bottom of my page screen where the comments should go (the top is bounded by a double line bar and the bottom by the footer). I am using the TwentyTwelve theme. When I inspect the section in Chrome, it says the open area is for

    <div id=”comments” class=”comments-area”>

    I want to get rid of this section so that the body of my website bumps up with my footer and ends. Any help would be appreciated.

    No – that’s just the way in which the them is designed. All Post & Pages have a margin-bottom of 5.14286rem and a padding-bottom of 1.71429rem. If this is not suitable for your needs, create a child theme for your changes. Or install a custom CSS plugin.
