It seems to be a theme issue since it is not taking HTML in comment’s author name. You may check this after changing the site theme.
You may turn off the author link by referring to the following steps:
1) Login to WordPress dashboard, go to “ProfileGrid >> Global Settings >> General” menu.
2) Disable the option “Automatically Redirect Author Page to their Profile?” here and save it.

It works yes.
I just didn’t remember which setting I should have gone trough before in ProfileGrid 😀
If I did, I wouldn’t waste my time checking the theme files 😀

Hello again,
If you see the comment area, you’ll see the comment author link doesn’t display properly.
It’s cool to have just username (without link), but I don’t know which WordPress template file to edit.
