# Comment approval deleted post.

 * I just approved a comment for the first time. Now the post has disappeared from
   the front page. I went to the Manage section and the post and comment are both
   still there, but is does not show on the page.

 * Check its status – maybe it has been changed from “publish” to “draft” or “private”.
   Just a thought…

 * There is nothing that says it is a draft. I just approved a comment for another
   post and the same thing happened. WP is making any post with a comment disappear.

 * Doubtful — or a very very new issue. I’d be more inclined to look at your theme.
 * If you temporarily switch to the Default theme, do the missing articles show 
   up?

 * Just tried going back to default. The posts are still not showing.
    I also un-
   approved the comments and still no change in status.

 * So, when you go Manage > Edit (the invisible post) and it is open for editing–
   what does it say on the right under the Post status section? Which radio button
   is selected?

 * Found the problem. It was the ShowonFrontPage plugin. This is a plugin that does
   the exact opposite of what it claims to do and obviously doesn’t give you any
   options at all with posts that have received comments.
 * People who create plugins should test them first.
