Complianz needed/possible for this configuration?

    Hello,

    I tried to get this information from your documentation but sadly this is not 100% clear to me. We have our own dedicated server infrastructure (in German datacenter), do not work with any third party companies or tools. We have on-premises Matomo install and plan to implement server-side, cookieless tracking with the PHP SDK in our WP website. We do not collect User ID data (at all, not pseudonymization) and we anonymize IP address. From my understanding we do not need consent from anyone for this as we are not able to identify anyone based on this data. But maybe I am mistaken?
    If we do need a consent solution is this way of implementation possible with Complianz anyways or do you just support “standard” Matomo implementation via cookie and/or js tracking?

    Please get back to us asap as we are really in need to finish our website for launch.

    The Complianz plugin will determine whether a Cookie Banner should be enabled on your website, based on the configuration/settings that you applied during completion of the Complianz Wizard.

    Hi Jarno,

    thanks for your reply. I have absolutely no interest in the free plugin, of course I would buy the premium plugin. But there is no possibility to contact you for pre-sales questions, except that you are told you should use this forum here. Which is kinda… well lame to be honest. Please don’t take as an offense, just a personal opinion and rather meant as constructive critique.

    Aside from that you are not even allowed to give legal advice, which I totally understand, you sadly did not answer my question. I did not find a single mention on your knowledgebase about Complianz in combination with Matomo PHP SDK. So my question again : “If we do need a consent solution is this way of implementation possible with Complianz anyways or do you just support “standard” Matomo implementation via cookie and/or js tracking?“ It makes no sense to me to buy a plugin, sit down with it for hours only to realize I have to refund it.
    So maybe you can sched some light on this ?!

    Hi @tgsrvrs,

    I understand. The Complianz implementation of Matomo would indeed add the JavaScript variant of the tracking code, optionally with cookieless tracking (details here).

    However, you could instead indicate that Complianz should not add the Matomo script, so that you’re able to use your own custom implementation instead.
