Support » Plugin: Comic Easel » Comic Easel Navigation Widgets not Displaying on Elementor Theme

  • I’ve added the navigation widget within elementor editor and it appears to be added when looking from the edit page perspective. It just displays as the wordpress logo symbol in a rectangle but I’m able to edit the widget and add the navigation options I want. However I’m not seeing it at all on the actual page. The page is definitely updated/saved. Any thoughts?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Oh ok, I think I know what’s happening. What is displaying on this page is a full size thumbnail, but when I click on the page it goes to this:

    But in Elementor it doesn’t give me an option to add navigation to the actual comic page. It just gives me the option to “Edit Comic” which opens comic easel.

    Has anyone figured out a way to fix this? I want the main comic pages to just display the latest comic and show the navigation to allow people to see the prev/next and first/last within a chapter.

    that doesn’t look like it has the do_action(‘comic-area’); in the single.php or the index.php … basically comic easel needs to be integrated into themes that are not comicpress

    thats done by creating a child theme for the theme you’re using and adding that bit of php to it

    Im trying to create a new page template in my theme called comicpage.php with the line:

    <?php /* Template Name: ComicPage */ ?>

    However there isn’t a spot on each comic page to specify them as a comic page, so that I can add:

    to my page…

    Am I missing something?

    I cant get the Comic navigation to show up.

    The before and after html also doesn’t show up

    I don’t know how to remove the blog navigation

    And I would like to change the Comic navigation buttons to my own custom images.

    How can I do these things?

    I should probably also mention that, I want to have both a blog and comics separately. So I don’t want to change the single.php file, since it would change every blog post. I would prefer to use a different file for comic pages.

    And I could make a single post page template, but I haven’t found a place to change the template in the comic page editor..
