Support » Plugin: Lazy Load for Comments » Combined with Social login and slide out effect

  • Hi there,

The plugin is amazing and works great, just installed it on the WP 5.7 and works like a charm. However on my site I use Social Media Login that appears via slide-out effect when you click on the message area. Only when I activate Lazy Load Comments this trigger seems to break. Any idea what I can do to incorporate it back in so that when the comments are lazy loaded the trigger is active and will reveal the login part?

    Thanks,

    John

    Hey @jagarner,

May I know which plugin are you using for social media login?

    Hi Joel,

I’m using the Social Media Login plugin by Miled (ref: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-social-login/)

    Thanks,

    John

PS: I was wondering whether there was an option to have the comment form appear outside of the comments section (that is lazy loaded) this may also help with the above.

    Hi @joelcj91

Is it not possible to exclude the comment form from the lazy loading? Have you had a look at this?

    Thanks,

    John

    Hey @jagarner,

Sorry for the delay. I couldn’t take a look at it yet. Will do the testing this week.

Currently there is no way to only exclude comment form from lazy loading. I will see if it can be added as an option in future update.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Regards,
    Joel

    Hi @joelcj91,

Have you been able to have a look at this. I saw a dramatic improvement on DOM size when using this on pages with lots of comments but the result was positive from that perspective but then as the flyout effect and fields to put name, email etc didn’t work, nobody can post a comment so a pretty dramatic side effect.

Anything I can do to help with testing a solution for this?

    Thanks,

    John

    Hi @joelcj91,

I’m happy to invest some money to help with the issues I’m asking about above, I’ve said this in emails to you via your website too (several times) can you please just give me an answer as I am also happy to ask another developer too. As you indicated above you were working on it I wanted to give you time but would just like to know how you are getting on, just an update.

    Thanks
