Combine UAM groups with roles (user rights)

  • Hi,

i’m a bit confused and need some clarification, please:

On http://www.winball.de i maintain a multisite WP site. I’m using UAM to keep content separated to UAM groups and that’s totally fine.

I want use UAM to give non superadmin users and non programmers an easy interface to give sets of user rights to users because UAM adds the checkboxes to the bottom of the user page. This can be explained to dummy admin users.

My question is now, if i’m doing it right, because it seems a bit complicated and feels that is is the wrong way: I installed the User Role Editor plugin and defined my custom roles with all user rights i need. Then i used UAM to create corresponding UAM groups and checked my predefined roles on the group config page. This seems to work but feels a bit complicated.

Is there an easier or more intelligent way to do it?

BTW your plugin and your support is really great
