Combine symlinks and pretty links in .htaccess – Symlinks don't work

  • Hey mates,
    I’m pretty new to wordpress.
    I managed to get permalinks working with the following structure set in the control panel: user-defined structure: /%category%/%postname%/ .

    After some issues, it works fine, except the symlinks.
    So all subpages load correctly, but when I link images or files inside a post with the short link (example) /wp-content/Bilder/JMSZweige/medienshop/internet%20kinder%20im%20medienshop.jpg and I try to load the image in the back-end, wordpress adds that permalink structure to it, which ends in: http://www2.jmsmission.org/bereiche/medienshop/wp-content/Bilder/JMSZweige/medienshop/internet%20kinder%20im%20medienshop.jpg.
    Of course, my images and files won’t work now.

    I thought I could solve that issue by adding “Options +FollowSymlinks” and “RewriteEngine on” at top of the htaccess, but that didn’t work.

    My .htaccess-file now looks like this:

    Options +FollowSymlinks
    RewriteEngine on
    # BEGIN WordPress
    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
    </IfModule>
    # END WordPress

    Any idea how I could solve that issue? How can I tell wordpress that it shall not add /%category%/%postname% to filelinks?

    Thanks in advannce,

    DN41
