• Hi trying out this plugin and seems like it could do the job for me, the only issue appears to be that when I create a gallery, then publish it with say 4 columns, when I return to edit anything it bombs the columns and lists the items one per row underneath each other rather than neatly the four in a row.

Any ideas why this would be happening?

I am trying to use it in a custom tab using woo commerce (YIKES Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce) with a “show / hide” (Hide This) plugin to show or hide the content depending on the rights of the user.

    Any help appreciated.

    Hi scboy,

It sounds like you’ve run into one of our long-standing enhancement requests. Do you have descriptions enabled? We don’t yet support configurations with descriptions and multiple columns. If you disable descriptions, it should work.

Hi @danrossiter Thanks for the reply,

I don’t think I do have descriptions enabled, I have checked settings / document gallery/ general and descriptions box is unchecked, as is the descriptions box in the gallery itself. Is this what you mean?

I think there is something odd going on, when I go in to update the document (say to chenge the document to open in a new window) when I hit update, instead of it updating the gallery that lives in the custom tab of woo commerce, it generates a new one in the standard product page post area (the completely wrong bit of the page).

    Thanks

    scboy,

Document Gallery has not been officially tested with WooCommerce so there may be some quirks when working with any kind of custom editors. Based on what you described, my recommendation would be to switch from the visual to the text version of the main editor (where the gallery is incorrectly being inserted), copy the shortcode (it will look like this: [dg ...]) from the text in the editor and then paste it into the WooCommerce custom tab.
