    Hi Tobias,

Thank you for an awesome plugin.

There is inline styling of the column widths which I want to override and don’t really like the use of !important. Following your instructions here (https://tablepress.org/faq/column-widths/) but nothing we’re doing is changing the widths.

    Cheers

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

These inline styles for the widths are calculated by the DataTables JS library. They are necessary for that library to be able to use e.g. the collapse mode for responsiveness.
Overriding them is not really a good idea. We should therefore look into other options for achieving what you need, e.g. using white-space: nowrap; or word-break: break-word; on columns.

    Regards,
    Tobias
