    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    Yes, that’s strange… I’m not really sure why this is not working.
    Please try adding this to the “Custom Commands” textfield in the “Features of the DataTables JavaScript library” section on the “Edit” screen of the table:

    "bAutoWidth": false

    That tells the DataTables JS library not to calculate the widths automatically (which could maybe interfere here).

    That did make the columns more consistent, but not the 85px I was trying to set them at…. so not sure if it did anything or not.

    But now none of the DataTables features are working; like search, sort, etc. I can’t seem to get them back either by taking out the code.

    That’s a problem!

    Hi,

    the problem right now is that the quotation marks around bAutoWidth from above were replaced with ". Can you please check that and change that back to regular quotation marks as you type them with the keyboard?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    That fixes the filter, sort issues. Columns are pretty good now, but they don’t appear to follow the CSS width settings per

    .tablepress-id-1 .column-1 {
    white-space: nowrap;
    width: 85px !important;
    }

    Thanks,
    Brian

    Hi Brian,

    that’s really strange, but I still can’t really see why this is not working 🙁
    Can you maybe try without the white-space property? Otherwise, you could also experiment with table-layout: fixed (on the table element).

    Regards,
    Tobias
