Support » Plugin: TablePress » Column fixing transparency

  • Resolved Mithun Sridharan

    Hi Tobias,

    Sorry to trouble you again. I am fixing the left column with the tablepress-datatables-fixedcolumns extension. It’s working dandy. However, my only problem is that the first column is transparent and the entire table has a slight shift! Do you have ideas how I could fix this, so the first column is opaque? I tried various CSS tricks in vain. Perhaps, I’m missing something.

    I have another query. I’m using the “aoColumnDefs”: [ { “bVisible”: false, “aTargets”: [ 3,4,5 ] } ] custom command to hide some columns. Is it possible to use regexp to select columns, say every even / odd column. How about hiding all columns from the 3rd one? Could you guide me through this, please?

    Thanks & Best Regards,

    You could find the behavior here:

    I’m using WordPress 3.5.1. The behavior is the same on Safari and Firefox!

    Hi Mithun,

    thanks for your question!

    From what I can see, you could either activate the “Alternating row colors” checkbox for this table, or add “Custom CSS” like

    .tablepress-id-1 tbody td {
      background-color: #ffffff;

    to make all cells white.
