When I create a row with columns, I can’t add bootstrap colors. Neither for text nor for the background or the frame. I only have the wordpress color picker for the background.

    Hi @skrabbel

I’ve just started looking into this. I want to make sure I am clear on what functionality is needed. Please could you provide a bit more detail around what is currently happening vs. what you want to happen? Where are you expecting to see the Bootstrap colours?

    Thanks

    The problem is still there.

No possibility to assign a background color for a column. The same with borders or text.

    I installed the latest version.

Simply create a row with 3 cols in the editor and try to assign them a background color like “Primary”, “Secondary” or “Dark”.

Wordpress color picker is there but none from Bootstrap and yes I used blocks from Bootstrap plugin. I didn’t use the WordPress blocks.

More information is available in the Bootstrap documentation.

    Hi @skrabbel

Thank you for coming back to me and thanks for the detail. I now understand what you’re after. I aiming to release a new version towards the end of the month so I will include an update for this and drop you a message once it’s complete.

In the meantime you could work around this by using the additional CSS class(es) field. Select the column you wish to change, open the Advanced settings panel and add the relevant Bootstrap utility class eg: bg-primary, bg-secondary or bg-dark

Thank you for your patience on this one.

    Hi @areoimiles

Yes, that’s exactly what I’ve done so far, but I can do that as a developer, which unfortunately is difficult for an editor to understand.

    Thank you for changing.

    Hi @skrabbel

I have released an update which should solve your problem.

I have implemented two new features. Firstly, I have added a Utilities section to the column settings so you can easily select the relevant background, text and border utility classes. You can see these by clicking on a column then opening the Utilities panel on the right hand sidebar.

The second thing I have done is add the theme colours under the colour picker so that you can easily select the relevant colours. If you add a background using the colour picker this will override the utility class you choose.

You can see both of these new features in action on this short video https://areoi.io/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/utilities.webm

Hopefully this resolves your issue, but if not please don’t hesitate to get back in touch.

    Thanks

    Miles
