Support » Plugin: RSS Redirect & Feedburner Alternative » Colour menu and not following WordPress standards

  • I do not like plugins that need to use colours, bold and a lot of noise to fill my dashboard and menus on WordPress.

If the developer do not follow these simple things, I cannot trust he will follow other more important things on the code.

    Do not install.

We appreciate your feedback darkpollo, however there seems to be some confusion. Our plugin doesn’t do what you claim. Could you please show us a screenshot of bold colors, and a lot of noise? We suspect it’s coming from another plugin, not ours.

No, I am not confusing your plugin.

Bold and colour. And when you click on it the icon from the menu items below disapear.
I might review and lower it to one because of the reply.

Ok, so first of all: we are trying to clarify it. Please don’t threaten if we just want to clarify.

Ok, so it’s about the menu item. We got the feedback that users couldn’t find where to configure it, so we did it this way. We’ll look into it making it less prominent.

Regarding “And when you click on it the icon from the menu items below disapear.” The items shouldn’t disappear. Could you please try again, then scroll down, to see if the items are still there?

We’d appreciate though if this rating wasn’t about a Botton in the admin area, but the functionality of the plugin. Are you happy with it? Can we improve it? Always happy for suggestions!

“however there seems to be some confusion. ”
This is not wanting to clarify. You are stating that there is a confusion, which is a little insulting really, therefore my reply.

I explained on the text. If you do not follow the basics, I do not trust the rest of the plugin. Sorry but this is what I think.

You can improve it following the standards.
I am not going to reply anymore.

PS: it is the icons that disappear, not the menu items, I suppose is the bold thing, but do not have time to debug it.

Hi @darkpollo, we made the menu button in the admin area now less annoying, in-line with the WordPress layout, see here You think it’s good now?

Hi, I came across a similar issue. A few icons in the nav bar of the page were bold initially which became a normal text font but could be fixed by overwriting font weight and did not see the same issue again.
