When I upload a photo to be my header, there is a definite color shift. I’ve tried several formats, with the same results. I’ve taken the picture down, but I’ll put it back so you can see. It’s a panorama of Monument Valley, and should cave a definite red color. For some reason it gets changed to brown.

I do not know what the color was before you uploaded it, but the color that I can see now looks natural.

This person seemed to have your exact same problem and has come up with a solution. She laid it all out in steps too, which is always nice 🙂

Hope that works for you as well, have a nice day!

Thanks rjorg. That gave me a clue to what the problem is. The internet uses a smaller color space than we use for processing and printing. This is the first time that’s been a problem. I wonder why only WordPress seems to have a problem like that.
It’s going to be a nuisance when I start uploading galleries as I’ll have to convert each picture as I upload. I’m not going to use the solution the other person used because I don’t want to change my Photoshop default.

If you want to see the proper color for my header picture, I’ve changed it on my site. Be sure and upgrade the page in your browser.

    Thanks again for the help.
