• If you are a serious blogger or business looking for a full featured theme, then Colormag (or any theme by Themegrill) is not a good solution for one simple reason.

Themegrill refuses to make their themes AMP compatible, and to get structured data to have no errors in search console, you have to heavily edit code.

They make great physically appealing themes, but from a search optimization perspective they have no idea what they are doing.

AMP compatibility is a big deal especially if you expect your site to be found in the search engines.

I hated writing this review, but I have waited over a year for Themegrill to catch up to other developers as it relates to structured data and AMP and it appears they have no interest. I will be happy to alter this review the day they get with the program.

Additionally, it should be noted that the Google team who develops the native AMP plugin offered to help them and they completely blew them off.

  • Hi,

Regarding the AMP issue, we have to look on it in detail and without it too, we think that your site will get indexed without any issue at all. Also, you maybe able to use AMP layout totally provided via the AMP plugin used in your site, not the layout provided via the theme until the theme is compatible with the AMP plugin completely.
And regarding the search console error, are you referring to the updated date issue? If you are then, it is already resolved within the theme. So, can you once try on it upgrading to the latest version of the theme and check once if it resolves the issue or not?

    Thanks.
