Hi,
Previously I read there were issuess with Colormag & the AMP plugin.

I am wondering if Colormag is now AMP compatible?

No, for now, the theme is not fully AMP Compatible but we’ll be making it in upcoming updates.

Just to clarify, I cannot use any AMP plugins then at all

or do I need to hire a developer to set up AMP?

The plugin should work. Please do try using the AMP plugins and let us know if any issues do occur.
