Hi,
all necessary files and JavaScript calls are added to the site though WordPress API, so why do you have to do anything manually?
I just tested the theme briefly and the plugin works just as expected.
Cheers,
Arne
i wouldn’t have done it manually if it had worked as expected. the script simply wasn’t called at all.
i’ll try installing it again today, if i should find the time.
thanks for answering,
sabine
ps: did you put “resolved” in the title? for me it is not resolved. it doesn’t work!
Hi,
Yes, I resolved the ticket.
I retested the plugin with your theme, and it works without problems.
Some of your modifications to the theme must cause the problems.
Cheers,
Arne
that resolved thing still upsets me.
you answer “well, it should work” and that is enough for you to put resolved in the headline? that solves my question? not very nice. and a lie as well.
anyway. you were not very helpful.
i’ve updated your plugin, activated it again and it did not work.
i’ve checked the jquery 1.9 option and it did not work.
i’ve deactivated my theme’s jquery and your plugin worked but none of my other jquery-features such as isotope, for instance.
so i resolved it myself the following way: deactivated my theme’s jquery, deactivated site-specific javascript, deactivated site-specific jquery-plug-ins and added them again manually in the footer template, checked the jquery 1.9 option. finally everything worked.
now that i have prooved to myself that i’m not a complete idiot, i will delete your colorbox plugin and use something else. any other lightbox will do.
Hi,
your problem may not be solved, but it doesn’t help anyone to have this forum post marked as not solved if the problem itself is not the plugin, now, does it?
Of course I try to answer every post here, and I try to test every plugin or theme conflict that someone posts here. That’s exactly what I did here. I have a WordPress installation with test content set up just for this purpose. If I find that the plugin works for me with the given combination, I state that in the forum, resolve the post and I’m done.
I am not responsible for finding problems in other people’s WordPress installations in my free time.
Anyway, thanks for trying my plugin. Sorry that it didn’t work out for you.
Cheers,
Arne
hej arne,
nobody demands that you solve other people’s problems in your free time. even if your plug-in seems to be involved. there are far too many different installations with even more different configurations. nobody can solve all of these problems.
but to mark my question as resolved, knowing you can not help me with this stops everybody else from trying to help. so this doesn’t help anyone either, does it?
in my opinion it’s rather nice that you try whatever you can to be helpful. but before i ask a question in a forum i have gone miles and miles to find out myself. i was really desperate. and you simply resolve the ticket without solving my problem. it was like i urgently need to get somewhere, and the bus stops right before me, the driver tells me that he’s going to take the right route, only i wasn’t allowed to get onto the bus.
i hope you understand …
good night. and thank you anyway,
sabine
