Color scheme – change the shade of green

  • Hello, I would like to change the shade of the “green” scheme to a dark green but can’t seem to figure out where the color code is located. Thanks.

You do not change it in the style.css file or any of the theme’s files, use a Custom CSS plugin to hold your CSS modifications. Ossie Heffell was pointing out where the colour code is located (in the CSS folder) but wasn’t stating that that’s where you should change it, that’s not the same issue that nanamarti was querying about.
Alternatively it’s much easier to find the green colour by using a browser developer tool like Firebug.

    thanks andrew

i have installed the wordpress plugin

i do actually think i have the same issue as nanamarti though.

There is an option to select the theme colour the green option is a light green.

What would be the code to post into the custom css editor to change this option to a darker green?

I think it’ll involve dequeuing the green colour scheme CSS file and enqueing your own through your Child Theme functions.php file, your own CSS file living inside your Child Theme folder.
